SECURITY  /   ACCESS CONTROL

Know Who Goes
Where. And When.

Hammeke designs and installs access control systems that replace mechanical keys with cards, codes, and mobile credentials — giving you a record of who came and went.

CREDENTIAL OPTIONS

Every Way to Open a Door — Securely

Modern access control isn’t one technology. We combine credential types to match what you actually need.

Proximity Card

Traditional keycards, including proximity and smart cards.

Biometric

Access by biometric methods, for higher-security areas where a shared card or code isn’t ideal.

Mobile Credential

Your smartphone works as your key, with the same access as a physical card.

PIN & Keypad

Enter a code or PIN to gain access.

PLATFORM CAPABILITIES

Intelligence Built Into Every Door

Modern access control is more than door locks. It’s a security intelligence platform that logs every movement, enforces policies automatically, and integrates with your cameras and alarms for a unified security picture.

Real-Time Access Logs

Every entry and exit event is timestamped and stored. Search, filter, and export activity reports for compliance, HR, or investigations.

Time-Based Scheduling

Restrict access by time of day, day of week, or custom schedules. After-hours access automatically denied without manual intervention.

Instant Credential Revocation

Terminate access in seconds — no physical lock changes required. Critical for employee offboarding and lost card management.

Zone-Based Access Tiers

Define granular access zones so each employee, contractor, or visitor can only reach areas appropriate to their role.

Visitor Management Integration

Pre-register visitors, print badges, and issue temporary credentials that auto-expire. Full visitor log maintained automatically.

Remote Management

Grant, revoke, and monitor access from anywhere via web dashboard or mobile app — no on-site access required.

Camera Integration

Link access events to camera footage automatically. When a door opens, the corresponding camera clip is bookmarked and retrievable.

Alarm & Intrusion Link

Access control panels share data with alarm systems for unified arming, forced door alerts, and held-door notifications.

REAL-TIME MANAGEMENT

Every Door. Every Event.
One Dashboard.

Your entire access control system — every door, credential, and event — managed from a single web interface. Grant a temporary visitor badge from your phone while on the road. Review an overnight access report before your morning coffee.

WHY ACCESS CONTROL

More Than Just a Lock

Access control does more than open a door — it keeps a record of who did.

Convenience

Modern credentials, including mobile and biometric options, make entry simple for the people who are supposed to have them.

Enhanced Security

Access is limited to authorized individuals only, cutting the risk of unauthorized entry, theft, and vandalism.

Accountability

Every access event is tracked and logged, so you have a real record for auditing or investigating a breach.

FAQ

Access Control Questions

What's the difference between a key fob and a keypad system?

A fob or card unlocks with a tap & no code to remember. A keypad requires entering a PIN. Many businesses combine both on higher-security doors, requiring a card and a code together.

Can you remove someone's access without getting their card back?

Yes, that’s one of the biggest advantages access control has over a physical key. Access can be revoked in the system whether or not the card is ever returned.

Do access control systems still work if the power goes out?

Most door hardware includes battery backup to keep functioning through a short outage. We’ll go over backup options for your specific building as part of your assessment.

Is a mobile credential as secure as a physical card?

In most cases, yes, a mobile credential uses an encrypted signal between your phone and the reader, and it’s harder to duplicate than an older-style card. It also means one less thing to physically lose.
