Generac Certified Dealer
Central Kansas's Largest VFD & Pump Inventory

Petroleum Electrical
Built to Last

Petroleum Electric Services has been keeping Kansas oil fields running since 1972. Hammeke took over the division in 2020 and kept the same crew that knows the work. We carry one of the largest inventories of motors, VFDs, pumps, and panels in central Kansas, so we’re not waiting on parts while your site sits down.

SERVICES

From the Wellhead to the Substation

Oil field electrical work doesn’t leave much room for guessing. Every job we take gets the same crew that’s been doing this since ’72.

Oil Field Electrification

Getting power where it needs to go, from a single wellsite to a full field build-out.

Automation & PLC Programming

Controls that actually run your site the way you need it to run, not just the way the manual says.

Primary Distribution Systems

The backbone work that keeps everything else fed.

Power System Analysis

We look at what’s actually happening on your system before something goes wrong, not after.

Waterflood Project Support:

Electrical work for waterflood operations, done by people who’ve done it before.

Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs)

Installed and serviced, backed by our own parts inventory.

Substation Repair & Maintenance

Keeping the substation running instead of waiting for it to fail.

Transformer Bank Construction & Maintenance

Built and maintained to hold up out in the field.

Control Your Equipment From Anywhere

Not every pump or tank has someone standing next to it. Our cellular-connected boards let you turn equipment on or off with a push of a button, and text you the second power drops or a pump quits. Pick the connection that fits your site and we’ll build the board around what your project actually needs.

REGULATORY COMPLIANCE

Codes We Actually Work To

NEC

National Electrical Code

Every job, wired to code, no shortcuts

NFPA

70E

Arc flash safety on every site we touch — this isn’t optional in this line of work.

OSHA

Lockout/Tagout

Equipment gets locked down before anyone works on it. Every time.

OUR PROCESS

From Site Walk to Certificate of Occupancy

1
Site Assessment

We walk the site before we plan anything.

2
Design & Engineering Review

Plans get worked out before a single wire gets pulled.

3
Permit Applications

We handle the paperwork so you don’t have to.

4
Licensed Installation

Our crew does the work, not a sub we’ve never met.

5
System Testing

Everything gets tested before we call it done.

6
Final Inspection & Closeout

Signed off and finished, not “mostly finished.”

FAQ

Petroleum Electrical Questions

What's different about oil field electrical work versus regular commercial work?

Oil field sites run harder equipment in rougher conditions: pumps, VFDs, transformers that can’t just go down for a day because it’s inconvenient. We’ve been doing this specific kind of work since 1972, so it’s not new territory for us.

Do you handle automation and PLC programming, or just the wiring?

Both. We’ll wire the site and program the controls that run it — one crew, not two companies pointing fingers at each other when something doesn’t talk to something else.

Can I control or monitor my equipment remotely?

Yes, we build cellular-connected control boards that let you turn equipment on or off and get a text the moment something changes, like a pump stopping or power dropping.

Do you handle the permits, or is that on us?

We handle it. Nobody wants to be the one chasing down permit paperwork on top of everything else.

Petroleum Electrical Done Right.

One failed inspection or code violation can shut down your facility. Hammeke does it right the first time — permitted, inspected, and fully compliant with Kansas and federal petroleum electrical standards.
